PRODUCT CARE

Before you begin, read the care label attached to the garment and any hangtags or care instructions included in garment packaging.
Alpaca fibers are naturally stain, odor and wrinkle resistant. Because of this, alpaca garments can go extended periods between cleanings.

The easiest answer here is natural / green dry clean. Natural or green dry cleaning is becoming more and more popular, which is what we recommend – on multiple fronts. It is environmentally friendly, as well as for the garment, and ultimately gentler on what matters most – You.

  • Dry cleaners in general have adopted methods that are less toxic and we hope this trend will continue.

  • Do not machine wash

  • Do not use soap or heavy detergent

  • Do not bleach

  • Do not wring

  • Do not tumble dry

  • Do not dry in direct sunlight

If you must hand wash and air dry your item, please use great care. Our policy is to dry clean to best maintain the integrity of the garment. We are not responsible for issues relating to hand washing, machine washing or otherwise.

Hand washing adds years to the life of your garment. However, not all of us have the time or patience to hand wash our clothes. In this case, we strongly encourage you to find an eco-friendly dry cleaner near you (see above). It’s a good idea to keep moths away rather than have an item ruined so we prefer natural repellents like cedar chips or nuggets. Even lavender bundles. Leave the moth balls for someone else. Keep it natural.

If you are a sustainable person, immerse the garment in cold water with a little shampoo, enough so that the water has a little foam, for 7 minutes, rinse twice, tighten dont squeeze the press to remove the water, put out In outdoor shade, or using the centrifuge in option for delicate garments and put out In outdoor shade, the alpaca does not need to be constantly washed.

Socks and gloves:

This is the easy one. Gently hand wash in cold water. We recommend that you turn them inside out to avoid pilling. Never bleach. Lay flat or hang dry in a well ventilated area.
